WE LOVE OUR VEGETARIANS -- HERE ARE A FEW TIPS FOR GRILLING VEGETABLES & SOME DELICIOUS RECIPES
When we think about grilling usually meat comes to our minds first -- BUT grilled vegetables are delicious, as our vegetarian audience already knows.
1. Remember, most vegetables are more delicate than meat, and do not contain as much fat
2. Keep the grill extra clean and oil it really well before cooking vegetables
3. How do you oil an grill? Take a paper towel, fold it into a small square and soak it with vegetable oil. Rub down the grill generously
4. Grill you vegetables until they start to look a little charred - Cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Vegetables cook at different rates, so make sure to remove the tender pieces from the grill, and continue cooking the rest
5. Vegetables don't have to just side dishes -- they can serve as main meals, and even serve great on bread for sandwiches.
6. Types of vegetables that are great grilled? Peppers, zucchini (cooks very quickly though, so watch it closely), asparagus (yum - toss in olive oil and lots of salt and pepper before putting on the grill), portobello, sweet onions, eggplant
