PEPPERED PORTERHOUSE STEAK-------------------------------------------------------------------------------BACK TO RECIPES

1 tbsp. whole black peppercorns
3 1 lb. beef porterhouse steaks, cut 1 1/2 inches thick
1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1. Preheat grill to medium
2. Crush peppercorns in a mortar, or inside a folded cloth with a mallet or rolling pin
3. Press the crushed peppercorns onto both sides of the meat
4. Grill steaks until desired doneness, turning once and seasoning with salt to taste (Allow 15 to 18 minutes for medium-rare, or 18 to 22 minutes for medium)
5. When steak is finished, drizzle olive oil on each side. Let rest, and then serve immediately
