TIPS ON HOW TO HOST A STRESS FREE HOLIDAY PARTY
Hosting a HOLIDAY PARTY can be stressful, so we have compiled a few tips (in no particular order) to help you keep your cool and keep things simple
1. Don't try to overdo it -- keep it simple and make yourself a plan of action
2. Decide if you will be having a buffet, cocktail party, or sit-down dinner
3. Plan a Menu based upon the type of party you have decided to host. Then, make a shopping list.
4. There's no need to foot the bill for the wine as well as the food. Make it a BYOB
and ask your guests to bring ample supply of their favorite beverage
5. Have plenty of ice on hand.
6. Wrap utensils in napkins and place them in a basket - this makes it much easier for your
guests to grab and hold
7. Keep plastic bags handy to pack leftovers for your guests
8. Make a list of the type of equipment you will need as well as an inventory of what equipment you already have -- i.e. pots, pans, dishes, flatware, glasses, napkins, and serving utensils - borrow if necessary
9. Set your table or buffet area well before your guests arrive
10. Always prepare a selection of vegetarian items for those who don't eat meat -- here are some recipes for you to try
