Q: What is the difference between grilling & BBQ'ing?
A: Grilling is fast cooking over high direct heat, while barbecuing involves a slower cooking method, over a lower heat. Some meats are good cooked either way (such as chicken), but tender cuts of meat are best cooked by the grilling method. The high heat seals in all the delicious juices, as does the short cooking time.
You can also grill a variety of fruits & vegetables (such as pineapple, or peppers)
BBQ'ing (Barbecuing) is better for tougher cuts of meat as the slow cooking process helps tenderize the meat. Hot smoke helps cook the foods thoroughly, which adds more flavor to your food.
