BABY BACK PORK RIBS-------------------

4 servings

3 racks of baby back pork ribs (8 ribs each)
Barbecue Sauce:
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1/4 cup plum sauce
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/5 cup honey
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 tablespoons of dry sherry
2 tablespoons of sesame oil
1 teaspoon of five spice (click here to see what's in a five spice blend)
1 tablespoon pepper
10 cloves of garlic - minced


1. Combine all the sauce ingredients in a glass bowl and combine well

Rub the mixture over the ribs. Make sure the ribs are very well coated. Cover and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to up to a day

Remove the ribs from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking and place them on a plate. Reserve the marinade / barbecue sauce for basting the meat later

Place your ribs on a preheated, pre-greased (brush your grill with cooking oil) grill

5. Ribs should be placed with meaty side up

6. Close the lid on your grill and keep the heat at 300 degrees F

7. Grill the ribs for about 2 hours -- the meat will begin to pull away from the ends of the bones

8. After the 2 hours, baste the ribs with the marinade every 5 minutes for about 25-30 minutes until the ribs are cooked

9. Cut ribs into individual rib pieces and serve warm
